• Do I need to be a Fauquier County resident to attend the picnic?
  No, all are invited. Bring your friends and families—make this our biggest picnic yet.

• What are the qualifications to enter the SCHOLARSHIP DRAWING?
  Student's home address must be in Fauquier County and must have attended a Fauquier County school
  Incoming Freshmen through Senior students may enter. RAFFLE NOW CLOSEDYour picnic registration and payment must be received no later than July 25. There are many other prizes and a silent auction plus a whole lot of Hokies so please join us anyway.

• When do I need to register?
  Registration to attend the picnic must be received no later than July 31.
  A limited number of walk-ins on the day of the picnic are welcome but not eligible for the scholarship.

• How do I register?
  Mail checks by July 31 to Laura Symanski, 7591 E Main St, Marshall VA 20115
  Make sure to note how many adults and VT students/children will attend. (Include ages of children)
  Include an email address or phone # so we can confirm your registration has arrived.

• Make check payable to “Fauquier Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association” 

• How much does it cost to attend?
  $10/VT student, children 6-16 (FREE for children under age 6)
  $30/adult
  Cost includes buffet-style meal catered by local favorite Savory Fare, non-alcoholic beverages, games, swimming pool

• What is the value the scholarship?
  Depending on our donations, the value will be between $250-$500

• How does the winner receive the money?
  The winner will receive payment from the VT scholarship foundation electronically into their account.

• Can past winners enter?
  No, but please join us to celebrate and share your experiences with the new students and friends.

• Will there be lifeguards for the pool?
  No. Children must be supervised by an adult.

• Can we bring our own wine or beer?
  No, but there will be a cash bar.

• What do I wear?
  Comfortable clothes/shoes and swimsuits/towels if you plan to swim.

• What if it rains?
  The picnic will be moved indoors at the same location.

• Prizes and auction items donated by Chik fil A, Effees, Carousel, WARF, Warrenton Jewelers, and more!

• Where is the picnic located?
  Twin Oakes Estate, 6791 James Madison Hwy, Warrenton, VA. Look for the Hokie colors near the driveway.
