October 30, 2021, Fauquier Hokies helped Piedmont Environmental Council plant saplings along an area of Sky Meadow that drains into the Chesapeake Bay. These trees will help curb runoff from the manure of cow's that feed in the surrounding pastures. The ground was super soft after days of record-breaking rainfall so our group managed to plant about a hundred trees. All together, volunteers planted about 1060 saplings over the 3-day dig!
